Een RFID chip waardoor je in een ski poortje of in de supermarkt geidentificeerd kan worden kenden we al. Maar er is weer iets nieuws.
Somark Innovations meldt dat ze met succes bij koeien, muizen en ratten een speciaal soort tatoeages hebben aangebracht die op afstand kunnen worden geidentificeerd. Men denkt al aan andere toepassingen:
"Somark are in the process of raising money to exploit the technology, and point out that what works for animals can, of course, also work for people, identifying military personnel as one of their secondary markets after cattle and other livestock,"
